Chloe & Stiltz

Early 20’s, feisty, clever, and thinks she’s always right. Has an affinity for “old world” treats - things like soda, and movie candy, which she stashes in her Lockbox, that she carries in her backpack.

Early 20’s, tall and lanky - she got her nickname “Stiltz” because it looks like she’s a bow-legged zombie model walking on stilts. Despite her thin and lanky frame, she’s always eating some dead carcass. Just not humans. Stiltz appears to be a bit aloof, but actually has a keen mind for puzzle solving.

Mid 40s zombie, leader of the Zombie faction.  He's convinced that humans are to blame and is itching for confirmation so that he can go to war with the humans, and throw away this stupid treaty that only seems to benefit the humans. We learn that he is Stiltz' father, and that she convinced him to let her gather and confirm the evidence in order to get to the truth before he did anything rash (like ending the Morto Treaty).

Early 20s zombie, Coroner in the Zombie faction. Has a crush on Stiltz. Helps them to figure out the first piece of the puzzle. Stiltz can choose how she responds to his flirtations. Which will affect their relationship. Regardless of if Player 2 chooses romantic or platonic responses, Vikram will help them along with their entire investigation as they share their information with him and ask for his assessments.

Mid 30's human, mysterious single mother living alone in the woods at a cabin with her newborn amber-eyed baby. She is very tentative, bordering on paranoia. She tries very hard to keep isolated from anyone and everyone.  But it's her choice.  She doesn't like guests, but when Chloe and Stiltz offer her sweet treats in exchange for shelter from the cold, she reluctantly agrees. She's hiding a big secret which will be the missing piece to the entire story. 

50s human. Elected leader of the human faction. The Mayor also has his own agenda, but it is the opposite of the zombie leader's.  He is doing everything he can to ensure the treaty remains in place, and thus is pressing Chloe and Stiltz to find evidence to absolve the humans from any blame, so that they can avoid going to war. He's a politician at heart, which makes him an uncanny liar.

The mayor's 19-year-old daughter.  Pretty and soft-spoken, bordering on shy. She develops a crush on Chloe, and Chloe can choose to reciprocate or ignore it.  Regardless, Alanna will ultimately help them by providing them with a key piece of information that her father was trying to hide (she'll direct her help to Chloe if Chloe was romantic, or she'll direct it to Stiltz if Chloe rejected her).

Throughout the story, we will draw attention to a shadowy creature/figure that appears to be following our dynamic duo.  It is only at the very end that the creature, or should we say creatures, reveal themselves once their secret has been discovered by the detective duo.
